Al-Jomiah Group will invest Rs 21 billion for the improvement of the Karachi Electric Supply Corporation's infrastructure after taking over the utility.

Hasaan Associates Chairman, Farooq Hassan talking to private TV channel on Wednesday said that this amount would be spent during the first three years after taking over the utility.

On top of all the management would concentrate on 'line losses' for which services of a world class company "ABB" would be sought.

The group would pay first instalment of $100 million on November 14, after which the Privatisation Commission of Pakistan would issue an acceptance letter. After 14 days KESC administration's control would be given to Al-Jomiah Group.
